1) Shut the fuck up! If someone (no matter their color) is bitching, let them bitch, hug them, then walk away. Don’t agree, don’t disagree. Allow them to speak their minds, but bite your tongue, all you will do is fuel their fire.

2) Remain colorblind. No, it doesn’t mean you don’t care about color-problems. It means that you will stand for what is right, regardless of color. If you have a white person and a black person (Yes, I said black, get over it. I did not mean it offensively, and you know I didn’t.) are arguing, stay out of it. If there is a huge problem and you need to step in, then listen to both sides and give colorblind advice. If the black person is wrong, say so. It’s not racist, it’s common sense.

3) And lastly, NEVER EVER EVER bring race into it. No matter what color you are, do not use it as an excuse. “The only reason I wasn’t picked was because I’m black, white, purple, etc.” Bullshit, you weren’t picked because you weren’t qualified. Unless you absolutely know it was racism that disqualified you, don’t make yourself sound ignorant by bringing an unrelated topic into it.

I am 17, and white, and female, and I am so tired of stupid people blowing up my tumblr because you guys find a point in arguing about race. Yes, there are still racist idiots, but there are sexist ones, and religiously biased ones, and age-ist ones too. Get over it, you can’t change someone else, but you can change your reactions to it.

If some of you were offended, sorry. No, I am not sorry for saying it, but I am sorry that you took it the way you did.

#3 though?  Who the fuck are you to dictate how someone else talks about their life and experiences?  What in hell makes you think that you, as a white girl, have the right to set the terms of any discussion about race?  We’ve dictated the terms of race discussions for centuries, and it’s brought nothing but pain, murder, rape, and genocide.  We need to back the fuck off and listen.
